Learning alcohol ink techniques in Procreate can take you in so many different directions. I can’t wait to see what you produce because you all seem to come up with different interpretations which is just so very satisfying as a teacher!

Project Description

To create this piece, block in the main areas of color first. Once complete, use all the blending techniques discussed and add any little details to make it look more interesting, employing some of the suggestions I make in the lessons. Now comes the fun: Create your first set of larger meandering lines, drawing along some of the hard lines created with the blending. Add flowers and leaves, being mindful of the composition as you do so. Try to work in odd numbers and vary the direction of your leaves, adding some in behind other leaves in spots. You can then make any alterations in the background that possibly darken or brighten your foreground items. Be sure to work on the color layer! Enjoy the process. You will learn so much by experimenting, so don’t rush. I would even suggest you try two vastly different backgrounds.
